About the Application

Before applying please ensure you have read the following key requirements carefully:

  • To be eligible applicants must be currently residing within the United Kingdom, have a UK postal address and bank account, and must have the right to live and work in the UK and the destination country.

  • Students are not eligible thus we regret we are unable to accept applications from individuals looking for ‘year in industry’ placements.

  • Placements are for fixed periods of 30-days and it is a requirement that you spend the full period in your destination country. The start date (flight out to your Host Country) will be around the weekend of 1st July. End date (return flight to UK) 30 days from the date of departure.

  • Participants must be fully vaccinated to take part!

  • There will be several days of online preparatory training during the days just before your departure. Online attendance at the preparatory training is compulsory. Usually this would be held in our London offices in person. However, due to the pandemic this will be done through the safety of your laptop at home.

How To Apply

Before applying please complete the following steps :

  • Review the vocational course information.

  • Be sure the course is right for you.

  • View the job descriptions by clicking the links above.

  • Decide which positions are of interest to you and complete the application form.

  • PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR SPAM INBOX FOR INTERVIEW INVITES SO YOU DO NOT MISS OUT!

Please note, in order for your application to be considered, we must receive your CV (and portfolio if relevant) to both the following email addresses:

  • danihardbattle@capacityuk.org and frasermulligan@capacityuk.org (please also add these email addresses to your contact list so that it is less likely that any follow up emails will go to your spam inbox)

  • Name your CV in the format “Name-Surname-CV”, for example: 'Jane-Doe-CV'.

  • Avoid the use of generic file names such as ‘My CV’ or ‘application form’, etc. Doing so makes it much easier for us to deal with and respond to your application.

  • Take care to fill out the application form with details relevant to the particular placements you are interested in.

  • Placements are filled on a rolling basis thus you are advised to submit your application as early as possible.
